Words illustrating arious kinds of Compassion

How do you shake up the world?  Mohammed Ali said, “I shook up the world”,  after he defeated Sonny Liston in 1964.  This article is not about the late Mohammed Ali, though. It’s about you!

It might seem a bit grandiose to you, to think about doing something so dramatic. After all most of us aren’t known by the world. We have our small circles of life, that encompass  mostly the same people throughout, and sometimes create concentric circles that expand our contacts.

Still, most of us want to make some type of a mark, to leave some kind of legacy.

So do you believe you shake up the world? Maybe you think life is too hard, or has been too tough on you, personally?  Maybe you don’t think you have the talents, the resources, the money to shake up the world in any meaningful way?

If you don’t know how you can make an impact on the world,  life is passing you by, so you might want to find out. Time doesn’t stand still.

I think that kindness and compassion are ways all of us can make a huge difference. We may not see the results of our difference in dramatic ways, but we will see them. The first place to begin to apply that kindness and compassion is with yourself.  When you do learn to take care of yourself, to be gentle with yourself, you will feel less troubled, stressed and sad about a lot of things. You will begin to be capable of more kindness and love to others, and you will begin emanating that. Just watch! Watch your world start to shake, rattle and roll, in some surprising ways.
